How to Request a Custom Order

Every custom piece is made specifically for you, from the fabric and details to the final finishing touches. Here's how the process works:

01 - Tell Me What You're Looking For

Message me on Instagram at @stitchandstorync or submit a request through the Custom Orders form.

Tell me what you have in mind-whether it's a pouch, bag, Bible carrier, laptop sleeve, personalized gift, or something unique.

02 - Choose Your Details

Once I receive your request, we'll work together to choose the details of your piece.

Depending on the project, this may include:

  • Fabric
  • Lining
  • Zipper or hardware
  • Size and style
  • Personalization, such as initials, names, or words

Any special details you'd like to include

Browse the available fabric options on this page and choose the ones that catch your eye.

You can simply take a screenshot of your favorite fabrics and attach the screenshots to your custom order request. This makes it easy for me to see exactly which fabrics you're drawn to and help you create the perfect combination.

I'll help you coordinate your selections, including lining fabrics, zipper colors, and other details.

Please keep in mind that many of my fabrics are available in limited quantities or are completely one-of-a-kind, so availability can change quickly.

Some fabrics may only be available for a single piece.

03 - Approve Your Design

Once we've settled on the details, l'll confirm the final design and price with you before production begins.

04 - Reserve Your Order

A 50% deposit is required to begin your custom order. The remaining balance is due when your piece is completed.

Deposits can be made through Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.

05 - Your Piece Is Handmade

Your order is then carefully cut, sewn, and finished in my North Carolina studio.

Most custom orders take approximately one week to complete when there is no existing queue and all details are confirmed promptly.

06 — Your One-of-a-Kind Piece Is Ready

Once your piece is finished, I'll contact you with the final details and arrange shipping or local pickup.

Because each custom piece is handmade and often uses limited fabrics, your finished piece may be completely unique-made just for you.

FAQ

Are your items handmade?

Yes! Every item is designed and handmade by Irina in North Carolina. Due to the handmade nature of each piece, slight variations may occur, making every item unique.

Why should I choose a custom bag over a ready-made one?

Custom pieces are designed just for you, using premium or upcycled materials, and crafted to last for years — a combination you won't find in mass-produced bags.

Each piece reflects your personality and taste, with fabrics, prints, and colors chosen to match your preferences. More than a bag, it's a statement in your wardrobe - functional, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

Do you accept custom orders?

I accept custom orders through Instagram DMs at @stitchandstorync or through the Custom Order Request Form on my website.

I prefer working with custom clients directly through Instagram because it allows us to communicate quickly, answer questions, and curate the fabric, details, and finished piece together.

How does a custom order work?

Once we discuss your project and finalize the details, a 50% deposit is required to begin. The remaining balance is due before the finished item is delivered or shipped.

Can I request a specific fabric?

Absolutely! When you inquire about a custom order, I’ll share a Dropbox or Google Drive link to my current fabric catalog, with digitized photos of the fabric options I currently have available.

Think of it as a little fabric library you can flip through from your phone. You can browse the different prints, colors, and textures and send me your favorites. From there, we can choose the combination together and create a finished piece that feels uniquely yours.

Because I work with limited quantities and many of my fabrics are one of a kind, availability can change, and a particular fabric may not always be available.

Can I add personalization?

Yes! Personalization is available with every custom order. You can add monograms, initials, names, words, letters, or other personalized details to make your piece truly your own.

During the custom-order process, we’ll discuss the personalization you’d like and choose the details that work best with your design.

Can I choose the zipper color and other details?

Yes, for eligible products. Depending on the design, you may be able to choose details such as zipper color, lining, exterior fabric, hardware, and personalization.

I’ll help you coordinate the options so the finished piece comes together as a cohesive design.

How do I start a custom order?

You can start by sending me a DM on Instagram at @stitchandstorync or by filling out the Custom Order Request Form below.

You can also browse my current fabric catalog to see the fabrics currently available for custom orders. Because many of my fabrics are limited or one-of-a-kind, availability may change.

How long does a custom order take?

If there is no existing queue, custom orders are typically completed within about one week once all details are finalized and the deposit has been received.

The timeline can vary depending on the complexity of the project and how quickly we finalize the fabric, size, personalization, and other details. The faster we confirm everything together, the sooner I can begin your order.

How do I pay for a custom order?

Once we finalize the details and you approve the quote, a 50% deposit is required to begin your custom order. The remaining balance is due when your piece is completed, before it is shipped or picked up.

Payment can be made through Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
