Care Instructions
Your Stitch & Story piece was handmade with carefully selected textiles and lots of attention to detail. With a little extra care, it can be enjoyed for years to come.
Because every piece is made from different fabrics and materials, care instructions may vary slightly. When in doubt, always follow the care recommendations for the specific fabric.
Fabric Care
Spot clean whenever possible.
For small marks or spills, gently blot the area with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing, which can damage delicate fabrics or fade colors.
For most of our textile pieces, we recommend hand washing or gentle washing in cold water only when necessary.
• Use cold water and a mild detergent.
• Avoid bleach and harsh cleaning products.
• Do not wring or twist.
• Reshape the piece gently while damp.
• Air dry flat or hang to dry.
Quilted & Structured Pieces
Many Stitch & Story pieces are quilted or lightly padded to give them their shape.
To help maintain their structure:
• Avoid machine washing unless specifically noted in the product description.
• Do not use high heat.
• Allow pieces to air dry completely before storing.
• Avoid overloading pouches and bags beyond their intended use.
Ironing
If needed, use a low-temperature setting appropriate for the fabric.
For pieces with printed details, embellishments, labels, or vinyl personalization, avoid placing a hot iron directly on the design.
Personalized Pieces
Personalized and monogrammed items require extra care. Avoid harsh detergents, high heat, and prolonged soaking, as these can affect lettering and decorative details.
Storage
When not in use, store your piece in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.
For quilted or structured items, avoid storing them compressed or folded for long periods, as this may affect their shape.

Your piece is handmade, not mass-produced. Slight variations in stitching, texture, color, or pattern placement are natural characteristics of a handcrafted item and part of what makes each piece unique.
